Haha, ya I went and checked mine after I posted. That's a definite no on the black eye Susans lol.No that is not a Black-eyed Susan, unless there is some variety totally different than the one I grow. I have several that volunteer every year from the seeds, hundreds this year.
I just took this shot, a different color (it is in full sun) but also a different texture, not as smooth as the OP's plant.

Yeah, we moved in August, and I have been trying to figure out what things we have growing here. That app isn't foolproof, but it has helped me a lot. Sometimes it will give you multiple options and you have to look at the pictures to decide which it isThis is good to know, I am horrible at plant identification too.
