Would you rather pay slightly more for a 10 time more broad buyer market or slightly less for a significantly smaller buyer market and hope and pray people buy from you? 60 is paying too much for too little in return. Unlimited listings??? People are already haveing enough trouble spending there 20 a month on their gfm as it is. I just don't see how turning my user name a different color and haveing unlimited picture storage space is worth 60 bucks. Especially when ppl can use free photo hoseting websites. We should take a pole on the price of platnium memberships to see how the byc community feels.

GFMs are $20 a YEAR, not per month.

The price we arrived at was based on what the members wanted.

Unlimited photo storage. Flickr is $25 a year, just for pics and no auctions.

Thanks for the feedback. We based the price on the requests of what the members wanted (unlimited everything) and based on a price that was less expensive than the alternatives (especially selling on ebay, eggbid, etc.)

Some have mentioned they think the price is too low for what is being offered and some too high. We'll re-evaluate the pricing from time to time and see what makes sense.

great info terrie thanks. I guess what i was mainly hitting on was the buyer market. To me...byc's BSA section is just not large enough to justify the larger 60 dollar yearly asking fee. I use photo bucket and it's free and works flawlessly for me so no fee's there. I would buy a platinum membership no problem for $40...because i believe it is worthy exactly double what a yearly GFM membership cost's. But do i feel that it's worth TRIPPLE what a GFM is...no, not even close. I would bet my bottom dollar that if the Platinum membership went to $40 annually...people here on BYC would jump all over it. BYC earns more revenue and the user's get what they pay for....it's win win. Then again all this is just my humble opinion

This is an EXCELLENT value for people who sell a lot. I will probably get one for the unimited PM's, if nothing else. It takes a lot of pm's sometimes to complete a sale, give advice, do follow up counsel to newbies. Sell a half a dozen sets of eggs and your PM's are hosed for a month, or else you lose track and peole get their feelings hurt. Thanks staff for offering this OUTATANDING value! When I get my chickens re-situated be sure, I will be getting a platinum membership!
