I've seen these around E-Bay and floating around on a few other sites. These look to be totally plastic. I'm trying to do a bit of research on incubators before I purchase one as many people have done on here. I'm leaning toward a basic Hovabator, as they seem to have a generally good review as a beginning incubator, until I crossed this one. The Brinsea's are also plastic, but they have no room if I decide to do a larger hatch. Nothing available in my price range anyways. Anyone used one like this? Can't really find any reviews to help me on this one. Thoughts about a design like this?

Sorry I don't really have any advice, but

I have 2 of those. Or at least I will tommarow. Bought one then turned around and ordered a second one. They are easy to use. If you don't mind hand turning.
The temp and humidity are easy to control.
And they are easy to clean.
I got the one with a digital read out.

But has anyone had a hatch out of them?
I bought one, directions are in a markedly not a first language english.
Hard to get how to set the temp - the best I could do is 99-100.
Not sure how you are talking about adjusting humidity other than lifting the top up.
There are small airflow holes around the base and 2 pencil sized holes up top - but that's it.

Hatch was due in this late Sunday - and here it is Tues and nothing yet...
I had active embryos day 10. Good aircell size and weigth loss at lock down....
and here I sit.

Yes, I have or I wouldn't of bought a second one.
You need a hygrometer to put inside but you do with any incubator.
The instructions say to push set button, then + or - till you get what you want. then push set button again. I have 8 live chicks from hatch . most (!2) were not fertile. Since I wasn't sure how to candle I left most Till end of lock down.
start by putting as little as 1 Tablespoon water in bottom of incubator. Here it is very humid any way, so it doesn't take much.
I incubated at the temp it came with 37.5 C, and ajusted down According to instuctions. Hand turned 4 times a day, but 3 should be enough.
If it's too humid take out the black plug till lock down.
Hope this helps.
Instructions took a while to understand, but very simple once you got them.

Thanks for the input. Not to sure about hand turning. I work 3 twelve hour shifts back to back each week. I never thought of that. So hand turning won't be an option unless I only turn morning and night. That opens up another can of worms. How much turning is enough?

You can still use this one for lockdown/hatching tho.
Allows you to keep your incubator full and cranking out babies even with staggered hatchings.
You'd still want to disinfect ocassionally tho but would keep your incubator cleaner.
