Play sand danger

Hi I dumped a bag of play sand in the outdoor run today because it was supposed to be very hot. I got to work and they told me it was dangerous for the chickens. Just got home They are all laying in it but I have observed several eating it as well. It said all natural play sand graded and washed and could be used in pet areas. Do I need to get it out of the coop and worry about impacted crops? Thanks for any advice I was just trying to keep them cool

All my pens have sand in them, inside the coops as well. No problems, no worries.
