So I was going to put out my 4 week old chicks in their coop run for a while to let them stretch and play. It is 90 here today but with a slight wind. Is it okay to put them out there? I read somewhere that you shouldn't put them out with wind.

@chicklover1998 Sorry to hear about your rain, we are starting to get our Summer weather so it has been in the 80s-90s range. Wont be much longer before we hit our triple digits

Thank you for your advice, I am one of those over paranoid chick moms. My friend put hers out in the coop too soon and lost 2 so now I have been even more so worried.

Mine are 5 weeks and are now outside full time, it's been in the mid-80's here and they are just fine. Much happier outside than in the brooder!

it's needed but not necessary to have it all at once. we were getting our nice weather it was about 70-80 a couple days ago but if we get warm weather we get rainy weather. And it's ok they are a lot more resilient than we give them credit for.
