so today our baby turks are 12 days old and i have been taking them out of the brooder and letting them explore the shed ... so as they pecked at some grain .. in waddles our new kitten whiich i thought ... the turkis will be confused and so wil the cat lol .. well the kitten got closer to the cat then my baby turkey went bonkers and attacked the kitten ..

.. then it attacked my brush ... but when i click my fingers it ran over to me

.. so here are some pics ... i took when i showed it our brush ... it also made a hissing sound ... while the white chick ... jut done nothing ... and it's the mad one .. the black one is usally so calm .. what you make of this all folks .. oh and some pics of how their feathing out!

There is a big male cat that comes around ever so often. My turkeys and chickens gang up on the poor thing and chase him out of the yard. I've heard the tomcat cry a couple of times. I really feel sorry for the cat....having about fifty things with feathers attacking wouldn't be fun. The cat seems to have stopped from going in the back yard where the attackers are located, and now just goes in the front yard on his way to visit his friends down the road.
 
I was not joking about it being a good thing that the kitten is learning to respect turkeys etc. at a young age. Too many poults are lost to cats that have not learned that lesson. Don't won't to see any animals injured .
