pleade help me with my cochin

She is 5 months and got her eye pecked. It is now swollen shut and she has a hard black crusty thing forming on thr eye and mouth area. She sits in sn isolated cage eats a little, respinds ehen touched. But getting thin. What do i do to help her. How do i submit pictures

Sorry about your hen. You can use neosporin original or with pain relever around eye and if a little gets in the eye it is OK and good. You will need to soak crusty stuff off with warm water cloth. Then treat with neosporin. I don't think you can post pictures on this site until you have replyed or posted _?_ number of post on the site first. I would clean and disinfect the eye as best I could with warm water and an eye wash and then get her started on an antibiotic. Id also add some vitamin supplement (something that helps to increase appetite) to her drinking water. I hope your sweet girl recovers soon. Good luck!

PS... I'd also bring her inside as well to help keep her cool while she recovers and so I could keep a close eye on her. But I'm crazy like that!

Thank you. The black crusty is like cement. It wont budge and keeps gettig bigger. I have been using antibiotic oinment and washing the eye. Being very gentle and it is getting worse. I feel so sorru for her,

I would do a very warm/hot compress and hold it on the crusty area until it softens and can be removed. Good Luck!
