Please accept my resignation from...

Some of them look like my Golden Comets did at that age...the darker gold ones. How sweet that they like you already!! Mine all acted like I was a Flying Purple Chicken Eater when I first got them!!

I hope they are GC's, mine are so sweet and quiet!

Buffs don't normally have striping, do they? I've never had one as a chick, but looking at photos...

My guess is Red Stars/Sex links... or RIRs.

Congrats!!!!! Now I just want to know when your second shipment will be in because you can't just stop at one!!!

It's a good thing I ordered only 12 because I can't imagine NOT getting more next spring. I think they're in such good shape because they left the hatchery at dawn and arrived just before the buyers at 9 am. The bottom of the box was warm and the cheeping was pleasant. We'd had an excellent day all are eating/drinking/clean and active. I love how they move aside when I lift the lid on the brooder but move to my hand when I slowly lower it to them. They peck and lick, so I've continued dipping my finger in the water and urging them to come to me.

I showed the pics to a local guy who had birds from the same co-op last year though the source is different. He couldn't make up his mind between golden comets and red sex-links, maybe I have some of each!

Thank you so much for looking and commenting. I feel very good about getting them, and so pleased to buy local without too much stress on the babies.
