Please advise as to solutions to pasting

I had a few chicks with this also. Here I was using saw dust and they were eating it. What are you using for bedding?
 
Sounds like brooder temperature is too cool (should be closer to 90) and ensure tepid water (don't use cold - room temp water is best).

I'm using shredded newspaper for bedding...I can imagine how that might be similar to what you described.

I've also increased the temp to about 90 degrees.

A breakthrough for me might be the brooder light that I began using tonight. I had been using a 100 watt white light bulb. Tonight I switched to a 75 watt infrared light...the chicks immediately relaxed and have been sleeping for the past 2 hours. I never realized the stress the white light might have caused. Since stress is another contributor to pasting problems, I hopeful this will be the remedy.
