Hi everyone

Today I noticed this lump on my hen's foot I believe to be bumblefoot, can someone advise if this needs surgery or if it can be treated topically ? this is my first time having this problem.
Thank you kindly

Disinfect it and wrap it!!! It'll get infected again if you don't.
how often to unwrap and check, thats the part thats confusing to me. I have Vetericyn , should something else be used? thank you, this is a new level of stress

I usually unwrap and check every other day, unless it is raining. I also use triple antibiotic without painkiller on a tiny piece of gauze over the hole before wrapping in vet wrap.

How often you need to check depends what you used to wrap it. Yes use Vetericyn, and I would use Original Neosporin as well.
