Please Advise! What to do about a dried out chick post hatch?

To me the handling and the water and the temperature change is just asking for trouble. They all manage to fluff up with time and warmth. All mom would do is keep them warm..

I agree with the no bath people. My little shrinkwrapped chick, once he got stronger, started picking the stuff off his feathers and then everyone else in the brooder helped! He still had a pacth of dried on his head and I just gentrly wiped it with a warm wet paper towel on the third day.
