Please answer a dumb question....

I alway keep food and water right next to my Broody hen and I count the days that I let her set....the first 18 days she will get off the nest...the last 3 she will set tight so thats how she ups her humidity in my opinion, this last Blue has pulled all the feathers off her tummy to keep the eggs warm......I always encourage her to eat and drink even if I have to put the bowl in my hand to her beak...I have found mine like canned corn and I hand feed that to them in the last few days ...that way I know she is getting food and a liquid....
 
Thanks everyone! I've got a tiny broody silkie, I might just let her do her thing!
