Please be cautious and don't leave feedback until you hatch eggs

that you buy or trade for. I and several others have received eggs from someone who is selling "pure breeds" on BYC, only to receive mixed breed eggs. We leave positive feedback for receiving the eggs intact or for the good fertility rate, only to find out that the chicks that hatch out are not what we paid for.

For this reason, it might be best to wait until your eggs hatch to leave feedback. There are lots of really nice, honest people here. There are also a few not-so-nice scammers. Please be cautious so appropriate feedback can be left to help others from having the same problem.

I am not trying to start a flaming thread that will be shut down, but I do hope to help others not be scammed as I was.

I believe with the way the feedback forum is, you can leave as much feedback as you want. So you can go back and leave feedback again if you have a problem after hatching.

I am at a loss.... How do you leave feedback for someone on BYC? I have received some wonderful hatching eggs. In my case I did get what I was suppose to! I would like to leave feedback for those nice people.

I agree with outing the scammers. Not to be mean or anything. Just to protect others from getting scammed too. Some of the eggs we buy on here are not cheap! I for one certainly want to get what I pay for.

Did the seller offer to make things right? I think that matters also...accidents happen..sometimes birds fly over the run walls and you have a mistake breeding. But then the seller really needs to refund the money OR send you more eggs of the breed that you first ordered from them.

I also think the feedback should be more user friendly so I really want to scroll through all those transactions to find the seller I am dealing with?....heck no!
