I hope we see you again soon too. Since you got an incubator does that mean you have you have a roo now?

Yes, it does

He's an EE, and about 10 months old. I'm going to practice some hatching with some of my own eggs (I don't have to pay for them!), and once I feel like I know what I'm doing, I will buy some really nice eggs to hatch.

Here he is -

Good for you! If you want when my birds start laying again you can have some of my eggs. If you look at my BYC page I have some nice lookin muts that will make some good lookin babies. Especially with us gettin Phoenix. Don't know why they are not layin. Here is my thread about it. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=434952&p=1

Oh dang Maxx! I know what Bucky meant to you.

He was one awesome roo and I know it won't be easy to fill his spurs. But thankfully, you do have BJ. I hope and pray that he can be even half the rooster his father was.

It's a pretty tall order, but he looks like he can do it.

Take pride in the fact that Bucky died in defense of his family. Like Cyn said, I'd far rather see Chief or one of my other boys die in the line of duty than to be laid low by an illness. Somehow, it's just more befitting of their noble nature to die in combat!

awwww I am so sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful guy. you should be very proud of him though, he stood up for his girls. I am sure he is watching down on his flock from heaven watching every move they make. Keep up the good work, and dont ever give up.
