Arlanda sniffed disdainfully. Something pungent was in the air.

If it's even a bone... Arlanda mused. It certainly looked like one.

Suddenly, something began to sizzle. Arlanda realised too late what it was. As she dropped it, the entire den exploded and Arlanda was thrown back, the air knocked out of her. She crashed to the ground as the roof collapsed.

Iceberry!

Something heavy crashed and rolled to the ground. Probably part of the den. It slammed its way down the slope, to where Arlanda was lying, struggling to move.
