The silence around Eclipseherd was broken by quiet moans slurred from the Kirin. He still laid on his side with his wild, curly reddish hair swirled around him, but his head furrowed and he groggily opened his eyes into narrow slits.

Io stuck her head out of the cherry blossom trees, the petals fluttering around the whole area. "I am," she said calmly. "My herd and I saved you last night when you fell from the sky."

"Thanks, ummm..." his voice trailed off and he felt his slender legs around, trying to feel for firm enough ground to push himself up and grunting as he heaved himself to a kneeling position. He shook his head, his hair flying in every direction before laying back down and spilling over his broad shoulders, "I... fell?"

His jaw dropped and he emptily stared at her with wide, golden-yellow eyes. "Uh...huh," he said, a puzzled look plastered on his face as he bemusedly looked up at her. He blinked rapidly for a moment and directed his thoughtful stare to the ground, a brow cocked high. "Well, thanks," he said briskly, confusion lacig his words.
