Esther quickly followed behind, her lip trembling and her eyes downcast.

Ariel stopped at a distance away from Shadow and nuzzled Esther. "I just couldn't bear it if he did anything to you." She whispered.

Never trust a two-leg. Never trust a two-leg. The thought echoed in her mind, but for some reason she couldn't bring herself to kill him. He looked sort of...pitiful. Lonesome. Drawing back her leg to kick him in the skull, she was somewhat doubting if she should do it. With a sigh she settled her leg on the ground again and instead of ending his life, she snorted, "What do you want, two-leg?"
