(He's already dead. He loves his mom, but he can't put up with that filly. I guess I could make him go back to SkyHerd, but I don't think his attitude towards the filly is gonna change)

(Well he asked for a friend! Claire might take him back to Skyherd anyways.)

(k, fine)

The colt sobbed in the corner. He felt alone, like his mother had left him behind to take care of the mean filly.

Claire, seeing the colts sadness, brought Olivia into the stall with him. Olivia laid down next ot him and nuzzled him lovingly.

With a snort, Gemma brought her nose up sharply. She shook her head, trying to shake loose the thorns from an unseen thistle bush. Finally dislodging some of the spines, she snorted again, and trotted away, eyes narrowed. Grazing, she realized, could be a dangerous occupation.

Gemma turned an ear in Sonaja's direction, lifting her head from the ground and listening intently. "Hello?" she whinnied, a little nervous herself.

Layla walked up to Gemma sternly, "Gemma! I told you not to leave until I woke up! What were you thinking!" She said. She tried her best not to sound mean, but was worried for her foal.

Gemma could hear the waver in the filly's voice. "Are you all right?" she asked, concerned as she tried to locate exactly where Sonaja was.

She was interrupted by Layla. "It's all right, momma," she said, tilting her head slightly, nuzzling her. "I didn't go far at all, I made sure to keep close enough that I could hear you. Look at my new friend!" she said happily.

"But that doesn't matter to me, Gemma! You have to listen to me, which you didn't! I'm glad you're making friends, but if you continue to ignore my rules, you won't be able to see any of them." Layla sighed, and nuzzled Gemma. "I'm glad you're safe..".

"Okay," she said, ashamed. She had thought that only a few horse-lengths away was close enough, but apparently she was wrong. "I'm sorry, Layla. I won't do it again. I'll try really hard this time."
