It's hard to tell, and I'm certainly no expert! The female looks like maybe a Khaki Campbell? The male looks like a mallard/muscovie (sp?) cross, to my inexperienced eyes... But I might be WAYYY off on that one!

Mating does not equal egg laying. It depends on how old the female is. But if they just started, it shouldn't be too long before the eggs would be fertile, if she is laying.

Pretty ducks, though... Monty sure is interesting!

Thanks for the advice! Ive been told monty looks like a mallard mix but I wasnt sure. I have a wild black moscovy(SP?) that comes around my home and im not sure thats the mix, but ill put it on my list!

The first duck looks like the ducks I just bought and they were Golden Cascades.

Monty isnt a black swedish though unfortunately

My first ever duck was a Blue Swedish and I looked into blacks as well, Unfortunately Thats not monty

The first looks like a buff duck, or a khaki duck


the second looks like a mutt between a buff and or khakir, and a rouen sense the blue feathers?
