lol .. well i have a few roos so i don't think he wants to try to become in the high roo rankings there is a lot of fighting when they try
the op also has other cockerels/roosters as well

not all silkies follow the rules so you do not have to disagree with everyone, what yours do is what they do what the op's and everyones else's do can and more than likely will be different, most cockerels do start crowing by 20 weeks of age but some don't it all depends on the individual bird itself. as with some develop slower than others while some faster. many things factor in to sexing.

the comb is not that big, there are no streamers, the hackles and saddles remind me of a pullet. however i have seen cockerels that look like pullets though sexing of silkies is no weres ne being perfect because they are hard to sex but again there is no need to tell others that something isn't true such as with the crowing and with comb development. so far we have no idea on were the op got her silkies for all we know they are hatchery birds.

i am in no way 100% accurate on sexing silkies but i have been about 90% correct most of the time from all those who have given updates on what their silkies have turned out to be. hence on why i tell silkie owners to hold onto any that they have questions about as long as they can to be sure of gender. my suggestions on sexing of any breed comes not only expriance but also seeing and watching them grow in pics and other peoples chickens.

my pullets comb is small too , but i have this 12 week who i think is a roo ? what do you all think of mine ??

That's a little roo, the ops buff silkie is a tough one at 6 months I would have expected crowing but if you have others it may be holding back, it doesn't look very pullet like going by the pics so I have voted roo. I hatched 4 silkies, all turned into roos and all started crowing like clock work at 4 months they all seemed to develop roughly at the same time too so there are variations.
