Please educate me on nutritional vs brewers yeast

@21hens-incharge can you buy all flock in crumble? if you can they can eat it from hatch till end of their lives no need to ever change and just put out oyster shell. Nutritional yeast is very safe to sprinkle over their feed too. Although all flock has the recommended amount of niacin for waterfowl sprinkling a Tablespoon over each cup of feed you use can help any that may need a extra boost of niacin. And it can happen. Once they are able to move outside or around 8 weeks, you can switch from crumble to pellets if you prefer. I have fed Purina Flock Raiser to all my ducklings and never had any problems with angel wing.

I do feed all my chickens all flock crumble so knowing quackers can eat it from day one is good news to me.

I am a bit of a worry wart. :th

It looks like I am fairly well prepared for the littles! :wee

One bag of flock starter.√
Heat source and decent sized brooder. √
Shavings and duckling water dish. √√
A plan for the duck outdoor space management and pool. √

There ya go. many members here feed all flock and have no problems what so ever. I am a worry wort also and want to give my flock the best I can. What is so nice about the All flock is it's for all poultry so we can feel good about feeding it for all our birds. The Nutritional yeast to me is just the extra protection since sometimes there can be just one out of a hatch that can develop leg problems whether it be shaky legs or bowlegs it's like us taking vitamins to keep our immune systems strong.

I feel like all those years ago when I got my first birds I was beyond lucky.
I bought out of a straight run bin....ended up with pairs and trios....the only drake that was rough was the Pekin....I got feed from a mill with very knowledgeable and helpful staff....they made waterfowl starter and made sure I knew it was different than chick starter.

If they were still open I would make that drive to have that feed again for my birds.
