I have an Acer computer that I've had a while and I keep getting a little balloon on the bottom (start menu area) that keeps letting me know that my "virtual memory is low".

I really need it put to me im simple terms because I am not smart in that area.

Thank You in advance

You need to increase your RAM

The problem is your physical RAM and your virtual RAM combined are too low for what you are running. You can increase your virtual memory though.

Right click on My computer > goto properties, goto advanced tab, click on performance settings, now click on advanced, now click on advanced, now click on change button for Virtual memory. Set it a bit higher.

Ok Right click onn "My Computer" and goto "Properties"
once thair goto "Advanced" and than "Performance Settings" once in thair got "Advanced" once your in that window thairs a area called Virtual Memory and a button in that section that says "Change" hit that and another window will pop up with your Hard Drive's on it click on the "C" drive and click on the little circle System managed size than hit "Set" if you have other drives click on them and repeat the system managed size & set again
click on "apply" if it's lit up hit "OK" and restart your computer that should fix the prob

Thank Yall both. Now my puter is running better. I know that I need to either replace it or at least double the RAM. I guess I need to find out what motherboard I have and see what it can accept. Any ideas on how to do that?

Oh, Saddi

I know you was clowning me. I've got my eye on you.

Crucial has a memory selector on their web site. You can enter the series and model of your computer and get the exact memory you need.
