PLEASE HEEEEELP! HURT BABY CHICK! NEEDING TO KNOW IF WE CAN HELP HER, IF SHE WILL LIVE AND NEEDING A

Oh the poor little thing. Hoping for the best.

If it were me I would absolutely have to name her Jelly Bean.

This is a different way to put a tendon back into place in a leg; Step one, hold out the leg behind the chicken and straighten it. Step two, massage the tendon back into place. I hope that the chick recovers and lives a long happy life blessed with many children. :)

It's weared because another thing that she does is she doesn't lift up her body. From the side she looks like a half triangle on it's side. She ether rests her body on her feet will she wadles or leans against something to hold it up. It's like it's hard to lift her body up. Do you all think that we should splint her legs strate and see if she learns to walk or if her hip is buging her to much so she wont be able to stand?

I think the only way to find out what's wrong is to experiment until you find what works. So yes I would splint her legs just to see if that improves anything.

I did MORE research and found some things to strengthen the mussels in the legs and found physical therapy for chicks to help train her to walk after splinting

. We are going to try splinting her legs straight and see if it helps but were still wondering if she can stand on the joint. Hoping for the best.

Well we tried splinting but she wiggled out of it twice

! I don't know how she did but she did. When we did splint it her feet where turned so she couldn't stand even if she wanted to. If anybody knows a vet on the site or just a vet could you ask them about her or this thread pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase !? Were running out of options and she still can't fend for herself.
