PLEASE help!! 9 weeks old chick not walking

She managed to get one of the shoes out. I taped really good but I think they are big and she struggles. I am afraid she can break a leg so I am leaving only one for the moment.
Enola I would have cancelled but the seller told me after a week she had not send it due to some problems.
I didn't want to loose more time buying another So I am waiting. It should arrive tomorrow hopefully.

I spent the whole afternoon trying to make little shoes like the ones I saw in etsy.
I thought I could put some cut in size cardboard inside the shoe under the foot and make it all nice and snug.
In my dreams.
The shoe came off in a second, it was too big although I measured 1000 times

I went back to cutting a strong cardboard to tape on her feet.
I was so angry that I cut 4 toes in the front and one in the back. It looked weird, until my 1st grade daughter told me that the chicken actually had 4 toes not 5...
And she kindly allowed me to use her sponge bob tape because I finished all my grey one

Chicken you better get well

Honestly, if it had been Mareks and she were at the point where she was laterally recumbent like that, she would probably have been gone already. I'm siding with either the notion of a vitamin deficiency or some kind of spinal injury. Keep up with the shoes and the sling. Tapeshoes can be extrememly frustrating but they work and you're doing a good job.

Don't worry about the scale, you handle her every day. Does she seem lighter? Also, the pinching her toes thing IS a determination of neurological damage (ie, spinal injury or degeneration) so if she flinches and pulls away when you pinch, that's a good sign, it means that she has at least some feeling. Massaging might sound crazy but it might actually do some good so I would keep at it, at the very least it might help to keep her muscles from atrophying and her bones from losing mass (not sure if that can happen in chickens).

Rbaker0345 I think she definitely can feel her legs. I had to pinch her too many times to be sure and it felt good to know they were not gone.
I am giving her a quarter b complex vitamin too together with the multivitamins in water.
I can't put her in the sling with the shoes on so I am just using the shoes this week so she can work on her muscles.
I will try massaging her legs although I don't know how you can do it.
She tries to stand on her joints a lot.
She must be bored being sick too. Has been 3 weeks since her legs started to be weak

Mine enjoy a good foot massage. A warm Epsom salt bath and a good rub from the top of the thigh down to the toes. Perhaps if you pop her in her sling and put the basin of water under her you could massage her while she has her brekky. Starting to sound like a chicken resort. :)

I know, people will think I am nuts plus the chicken will never want to get better.
I need a way to kick her out of the house, something scary so she would get up on her legs and run for her life
