ID ten T is one I have been known to use. Also, PEBKAC.Ask him if he know what the ID 10 T code stands for…… he may find it hilarious - or not…
ID10T
(Bad Kelly…. Bad bad bad….).
Sorry to jump in midstream, I felt like telling some this here today….. but don’t need to burn bridges yet!
Years ago, I was in on the beginnings of Maryland's GIS (Geographic Information System) push, so I worked very closely with our IT dept. They used the ID10T code, as well, but for really advanced "issues," there was PEBKAC. It became a techie buzzword throughout the office. Outside of IT, I was the only one who knew what it meant, so I about lost it whenever a non-tech user threw the term around.Ask him if he know what the ID 10 T code stands for…… he may find it hilarious - or not…

Wish I could say that how hard it is to have older parents as a young person is talked about more. Knowing you'll lose them young, wondering if my kids will ever get to meet them, watching them get older, them not being able to do physical things with you...it's so difficult and nobody in my life that is my age relates. Not to mention constantly feeling like I'm the reason my dad can't retire and that neither of them can enjoy this part of there lives properly.
I don't know how old you are, but a lot of today's young people have been raised by their grandparents and are in the same boat. My DH and I took on two of my grandkids, at 6 and 10, late in life. I've felt bad that I could not throw a ball with the little boy or do any of the things I did with their mother when she was that age. We're in our 70's now and they're in their early 20's. Grandpa is still working. But I can tell you that neither of us regret our decision to take them, not for a minute! And I'm sure your parents don't regret having had you late in life. Our kids are the light of our life. Watching them grow and develop has been our greatest joy. They are a comfort and a help to us as we age. Believe me, they would tell you they are enjoying this part of their lives just fine, and even more so because you are in it!
