Please help. Another chicken is sick!

Well sounds like you found the culprit. Cocci isn't contagious per se as its in the soil and always in the soil. Often if a bird get's stressed for some reason, if there is a big change in the weather, or if the chicks were kept in a too clean of a brooder without soil contact for most of their lives prior to being let out to the soil, can all be things that take part in older birds getting cocci. I think the others look good. There was a time that all animals did so well here. Everything reproduced....even the fish in the pond. Lately, I seem to be running into so many walls. Even my two hives seem to be without queens. . . so no babies.

Hopefully this will keep the other chickens from getting sick. I guess I will treat at regular strength for two days and then half strength for 4 days ... I think that is what the directions said!
