Please help - Approx 6 month Hen off her legs with curled toes

Thanks everyone. So is the vitamin B instead of the Polivisol? I haven't been wetting the food but I do think she has been eating some of it. I have been putting a bit more in for the reason of it going to the bottom of the bowl.

Yes I am in the UK.

Yogurt? Will she eat yogurt? Natural live yogurt I guess?

Yes the curled toes and dodgy legs are the only signs. She doesn't seem to be getting worse or better. I really hope I can help her!

Yep natural live yoghurt will be good, a lot of chickens like it and it is good for them. I stumbled upon this thread by accident and it looks just like what my Bump has. I hope you don't mind me slightly hijacking your thread Pamela but can I give the B vitamins to my whole flock? and I myself am currently taking a vitamin B complex with folic acid, d biotin, vit B12, inositol, vit b3, PABA, vit B5, vit B6, vit B2, vitB1 and dicalcium phosphate, cellulose, hypromellose, watercress, parsley, alfalfa, rice bran, lecithin, silica, magnesium stearate, mannitol, maltodextrin and cellulose( glazing agent.)

---- Can I give this to my poultry???
Bumps signs have been going on for quite a while and I posted a thread on a mystery lameness but I hadn't connected her curly toes to it. These were taken a few weeks ago and the curl has become more pronounced. The thing is though that she isn't walking on her elbows but on the knuckles of her foot. Is this vitamin B deficiency what I'm looking at? I also have some Pharmaton capsules and if you need the ingredients then I will write them up but I'm not going to do it without a reason to.

No need for Polivisol exspecially for the legs, get some Vitamin B complete works quite well. I won't give it to the whole flock if it's just one chicken that seems to be lame, will it hurt them? No it won't hurt them just unnecessary.

No wait, Pharmaton contains iron.
No iron, to much can kill them, try the Vitamin B Complete. I had a chicken who couldn't walk, he would just drag his one foot gave him Vitamin B complete, one pill in a quart of water. it took several days but he finally got that foot up to where he can use it and today he walks perfectly, you would have Never known he had a bad foot.

So No on the Polivisol, the Poultry Spice is good as Long as you know for sure she is eating it. And your not going to see results immediately it will take a while maybe even a week.

Go for it with the hijacking :)

I have just looked on Tesco website they have these:

Typical ValuesPer tablet-Thiamin (Vitamin B1)1.1mg (100% of RDA)-Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)1.4mg (100% of RDA)-Niacin16.0mg (100% of RDA)-Vitamin B61.4mg (100% of RDA)-Folic Acid200.0µg (100% of RDA)-Vitamin B122.5µg (100% of RDA)-Biotin50.0µg (100% of RDA)-Pantothenic Acid6.0mg (100% of RDA)-

Or these:

Typical ValuesTypical values % ec rda*-Thiamin (Vitamin B1)†455-Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)†100-Niacin (Vitamin B3)†100-Vitamin B6†357-Folic Acid†100-Vitamin B12†2000-Biotin§50-Pantothenic Acid†100-

None of it makes an awful lot of sense to me! I so hope this works!! So Vit B tablets and yogurt and poultry spice or will that be overdoing it?! Is this the last thing to try?! If it will only take a week that would be great as we have been trying for so long now but as yet nothing seems to have made any improvement.
