Please Help!!! Are my babies dying? What can I do?

Quote:
Check them in the morning. I think the lumps will be gone.

First of all take a deep breath and relax. Other than the enlarged crops are they acting normally? If so they are fine. NO it is not a fungal infection.

I don't know how they are acting because, I was gone all day. When I went down to check on them before bed is when I noticed it. If I went down there now I couldn't really see much of anything. Should I give them less food?

Sourland is right, take a deep breath and relax! They're babies and growing fast. They need to eat a lot and that food is stored in their crops. Let them eat as much as they want. They will stop when they're full.

So have they started getting body feathers yet?

They are just being little piggies.
I raise birds and sour crop will make the bird dehydrate fast. They won't eat either. They will be listless.
I treat sour crop in my birds with vinegar and water. I have to tube it in though.
Natural vinegar is best. Then it helps them to digest it and break it down.
Actually since I learned to add drops of vinegar to their feed, I never get the sour crop.
Another prevention is yogurt. I have heard people here give their babies yogurt.
Some times their crops are busting fat though. I am talking about my chicks now. They just live t eat. Food in sight is food in mouth.

Chicks are little piggies, and when they are, you see this huge bulge that you never noticed before. Wait till morning and see if it's gone down.
