PLEASE HELP! - baby chick has poked eye!

do you guys think this might be the mama hen that injured him? she has only 3 babies but she was supposed to have 10. she killed 3 right after they hatched and the other 4 eggs she abandoned before they hatched. should i take the other 2 babies away from her before she hurts them too??

It's very possible that she had killed her own chicks.....To keep them all safe, I would separate them and hand raise them, or at least get a new mom to take care of them

I honestly don’t have any experience with this in chicks, but years ago we found a kitten with an injured eye. The vet flushed it well with sterilized water (distilled would do), and then had us put an antibiotic ointment on it daily. That eye always remained clouded over, but he stayed healthy and grew to be one of the be best mousers we had. So maybe something similar will work for the chick
