One of our baby chicks just hatched and I noticed something hanging out of it. It looks like the chick didn’t absorb all of the yolk or something all the way. With the other 6 that hatched I’ve not seen this. 1 still had the membrane stuck from the shell and I just let that fall off on it’s on ands that chick is doing great. But this one just hatched at 7:50am ands I’m not sure if it’s okay.
I got some photos of the chick and shell but didn’t want to keep touching baby just to be safe
This is my first hatch and we did it under the hen but she’s had a staggered hatch so we did move the chicks she has yesterday and the day before into a temporary brooder until the rest of the eggs hatched. Which hopefully will be today since they’ve pipped.
