Looks like the saddle feathers are coming in

. At first I thought it was a girl til I looked closer. The color obviously looks like a barred rock, thats the most common breed for the color. So Barred Rock

it is a barred rock and its a hen and from the color of her comb she should be laying soon

Barred Rock. If it just lost it's baby voice, then it can't be too old -- my BR are 13 weeks and their voices are changing. So it's probably around 12-14 weeks old. That, the lightness (too light for a pullet), and the saddle feathers I see coming in... I think you have a young cockerel there.

me too, I posted too quickly. def saddle feathers starting. It just looked older at first glance.

Barred rock cockerel. The saddle feathers are pretty obvious and the head feathers are pretty distinctive too (I never hear people talk about this when sexing, but with the BR it sticks out like a sore thumb to me).
