please help broody hen has ANTS on her and a BLACK comb?

so today is day 21 the ants are gone and the one egg under broody that made it too lock down just hatched a little while ago i just wanted to thank everyone for all of your help

i just went to check on mama and the chick and the chick was not under mama but mama was talking to her and she did peck her comb two times but is she just doing what mamas do it is hot outside is it just too hot for her to be under mama she is not even fluffy just yet

It is plenty hot enough out side right now (here in Texas) for this chick to not be under momma.
I would watch them both closely.
Last thing you want is for the momma to peck it too hard and injure or kill it.

Is this a first time momma?
