Well this must be why I joined this forum! I have not heard this before and I have been keeping chickens for 25 years! Very interesting, I guess I never thought about roosters not needing the calcium--DUH! I will switch him to game bird when I go out to feed again at noon. That is what I am feeding my ducks soI have it on hand.Thanks for the info. Terri O
(PS) I had to chuckle about the "feet hurting"...since Charlie does not have any feet...or lower legs for that matter! I think he knows that I am talking about him on the computer too!
