please help Chick is Over Due, will this egg hatch?

@oregonkat i wanted to let you know that you were right.
Good call

I opened the egg, everything looked correct from what I read air sack and membranes were all in tact. Veins over yolk the embryo looked ok at first fully feathered, but the head was flat, I assume decay. I do think what happened was the umbilical cord wrapped one foot one leg and foot was bigger than the other and I mucked around with salt water to untangle the smaller foot. I assume that's why it stopped moving :( next time less candling more praying.

I just wanted to thank you again for sharing your knowledge with me.

It's always such a bummer when you lose a developing chick. It has happened to me more times than I care to remember. I agree that messing with the eggs as little as possible is usually best, but it is so hard not to candle and see what's going on in those precious eggs. We've all been in that position. :hugsDid you succeed in hatching out more chicks with this incubation?
