Please help I have a week old chick all of a sudden not walking well and using wings to balance plus chirping a lot. Treating with vitamins in water. But still no improvement. I have had chickens for years but first time coming acrossed this. Any ideas what could be the problem. She was fine a couple days ago I don't get it.

First, give the chick warm sugar water to see if this could be simple dehydration. It should work within an hour to revive the chick. For this hour, dip the chick's beak in the water repeatedly, or syringe the liquid into its beak. (One teaspoon sugar in one cup water.)

If this doesn't revive the chick, it may be constipation. Give the chick coconut oil. This is my preferred oil because you can avoid the risk of apirating liquid oil into the airway by chilling the coconut oil and feeding tiny morsels of it into the chick's beak. Try to get at least a half a teaspoon into the chick.

She did poop last night in my lap while I was giving her a syrenge of the vitamin water. Once a hour I have been giving her 10ml of water from the vitamin water. Should I give her regular water 2 ?

Also I have noticed she walks on her hocks it's strange because she was fine the past week and boom. I'm wondering if she may have hurt her leg. She is still eating and drinking and pooping. She peeps a lot and loud which is strange as well.
