Ok so I and home to my 18 week old golden laced Wyandotte hen bleeding from thsi growth she had on her comb. It was small at first, but then today it was really big and covered in blood. I was panicked so I picked her up and put hydrogen peroxide on the wound. When I put the hydrogen peroxide on thsi white pussy stuff spewed out of the wound. Could another one of the hens have pulled thsi growth from her head? What should I do? I’m going to post pictures of the bloody comb and the puss below. Please help!

In the first picture it appears to be a wound, probably from pecking or the comb got caught on something and injured, and then the blood may have attracted pecking. The second two pictures are honestly not in focus enough to tell anything from. I would not use the peroxide again, it can damage healthy cells and inhibit healing. I don't know if there is pus or not, when peroxide mixes with blood there will be lots of foamy bubbles from the reaction. If you have some vetrycin spray you can use that to clean it up, or just use some mild soapy water. If it's still bleeding you can use pressure with a clean cloth or bit of gauze to stop it (may take a few minutes depending on the wound), or a bit of cornstarch or flour. Once it's stopped you can put a bit of plain (no pain killer) neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment on it. It will look blackish anywhere there is dried blood. Comb injuries can bleed a fair amount, even if it's a relatively small wound. If you are still concerned then some clearer pictures would help.

It does not seem to be bleeding anymore. Should I cover it up with anything? Should I keep her away from the others so they won’t peck it?
