Okay this hatch has been filled with mistakes because this was our first hatch.
Okay so we started building an incubator and also started collected eggs which we kept under a heat fan and water and it kept the eggs at 100 degrees and 40% humidity
Once we had the incubator we had collected eggs from 5 different days which we then put into the incubator on a turner and 100 degree temp and 55% humidity. we had the eggs in the incubator with the little end facing up which im pretty sure is wrong.
We were assposed to have 1 egg the first day then, 1 ,4 ,5,3
on the 21st day the first egg didn't hatch and on the 22nd neither did but 2 eggs from the 4 bunch broke through their shell and were peeping but they were upside down so i flipped them over and the peeping stopped for awhile so i put them back upside down and still silence, about 30 minutes later i heard a peep and then more peeps but they still havent broke out anymore. Did i harm the eggs by flipping them? their peeps are very soft but still noticeable through the incubator. are they resting from their work breaking through? when will they start again? How can i help them? they are a bantie and a silkie egg. how are we apposed to place the eggs and how do we turn them the right way for the next hatch?
Please Help!
Also the hole in the egg is about the size of an eraser on the back of a pencil and it looks like a beak is poking out just a teeny bit on the bantie egg. The shell and membrane of the egg look fairly thin could they have broke through accidentily while pipping?
