For the past few weeks, my pet sebright bantam has had a strange condition: she has lost a lot of feathers around her neck, near her crop! She does not have lice or mites (I almost said mice and lites Haha). The condition doesn't seem to be life-threatening, but it has gotten progressively worse. She is almost bald in certain placess. I know that she is not broody; and she isn't even laying, and is only about 7 months old. I don't think she's molting, either, because she is only losing feathers around the crop and neck!
Please help me! This is my 6 year old brother's pet sebright, which he raised very carefully into a very sweet and loving pet bantam! He will be heart-broken if he loses her! Please help Chirpy!
I will try to get some pictures, but my camera has a really dead battery, and the charger is missing. Once again, Chirpy is losing feathers around her neck and crop; she does not have mites or lice, she does not seem to be molting, and she is not broody. Will get some pics, soon. Please help Chirpy!
