I don't have any silkies or pekins yet but we are going on holidays soon so when we get back I will get some eggs to hatch. do you recomend any perticular colour or type? is there any difference?

I love my silkies. I have buff (1 roo and 4 hens), white (2 roos and 2 hens), blue (2 hens), splash (1 roo). They are so sweet. Here is a picture of 2 of my broody buffs:

Yes, I think they are my favorite. Then you won't need an incubator ... the silly girls are always going broody!

well that could be handy I guess.

I candled the remaining guinea fowl eggs and 4 look like they have died 2 are maybes 1 of those is still moving but really small, 4 look good and 2 look like they have already pipped the aircell and they are due on the 9th

so I don't know whats going on there.

I found out today that the hen sussex usually feather up faster then the roosters so I probably have 2 roosters and 1 hen

oh, well I guess I will just have to hatch more sussex.

The store bought chicks are pretty aren't they, It will be interesting to see what they end up looking like.
