Please help!!!! first hatch and having to check every 30 mins

Those digital thermometers are not very reliable. I know, I have used many of them. Maybe use a couple different ones in there and see what they say.

If you ever get a chance to get a new one, I recommend this one..... It is made specifically for incubators, and is accurate to within one tenth of a degree.

Read about it here.

Thank you! i'll most likely be getting that then! lets just hope i can get through this hatch :)

But um do you think that if i just keep cooling it the eggs should be fine? all i care about is the eggs hatching :)

one thing you can do is get a generic thermometer from wallmart like the one in the link i am supplying. you can calibrate it your self by sticking it in a class of ice water then you will know exactly where your temp is at with confidence as a store baught one can be a couple degrees off + or -

Tomorrow ill go to town and see if our walmart/petco has that :) thanks every one!

you can also get one at an auto parts store as they use those types to check the ac air temp coming out of car vents

do you have the red plugs in on the top-take one or two out
do you have it on cloth blocking air holes in the bottom
are your thermometers at the correct height

Tips for thermometers
wal mart the fish tank ones that chookschicks uses...she is correct they seem to work
petco the reptile wired probe ones
both are cheap and easy to find

Thank you all so much i have a towel under the incubator so ill move it and see what happens :) ill keep you ll updated thanks!
