It's not always the hatchery's fault. The weather could be too hot or cold, a delivery truck might break down or show up late because of an accident, a post-office employee can accidentally drop the box or someone may not have noticed it had live birds in it...
You may want to reconsider and give the hatchery a second chance. If you do, keep in communication with them and with your local post office, and maybe this time it will be a successful shipping.
