Please help Got chicks from Mcmurray hatchery all are sick or dieing

They said Ummmmmmmmmmmm we are not sure why maybe stress We will send you out more I said NO just refund my money the lady was no help at all............ Im thinking maybe so stressed if they hatched on the 17th and I got them the 20th at 6 am went to post office and picked them up thats a long time in the shipping box

I'm sorry this happened to you! I would suggest that you let them replace the chicks or get a refund and order from another hatchery. We got our Australorps from McMurray and they are all healthy, but I guess this doesn't always happen.

Maybe the chicks got too hot in transit or something. I bought 6 chicks at a flea market Saturday that got too hot in a plastic box the stupid lady had them in. (I've already been blessed out for buying them from her, so please don't preach at me.) After they started dying, a friend gave me some stuff to put in their water with electrolytes and vitamins in it. It perked the others right up and they seem healthy and happy now. Maybe your surviving chicks would benefit from something like this?

I have read another thread on BYC where they went through the same thing and it was the same hatchery. I wonder what is going on there and makes me wonder if I ever want to order from there. So sorry for your loss its not your fault you did what you was suppose to do.

Thank you all

Its so sad I dont think I will order from there Again I have for 5 yrs so thats the hard part Maybe just a bad year...........

Uggh got home from work 1 more sick Now im sick.............. what is wrong with my chicks??????????????????? Is it Only the strong survive?

I had a wonderful experience with Ideal Hatchery. I lost one chick out of 32 birds and that little one got bopped in the eye during shipping - she was a petite little girl. Just too hard on her.

So sorry that you had to go through this.

I got mine from Mcmurray and they are all healthy and well, but I got mine in Feb. The more I read the more I think the time frame might have something to do with it.
