They didn't give an exact timeline, so determing exactly how long the bird has been like this is hard to say.Would we see evidence of infection in just 24 hours? That seems pretty fast to me...

I can trim the feathers, the brown by her mouth is blood that she goes crazy if I try to clean, that has been that way since I found her. I got a little yolk in her and soaked cotton balls in peroxide 3 times, 2 times yesterday and once this morning. She is resting but will hang her head after awhile. My husband will bring yogurt home. Is her eyes staying closed normal for something like this?Would we see evidence of infection in just 24 hours? That seems pretty fast to me...

Ok, thats exactly what I will do and thank you for the adviceOkay.
Blood in the mouth isn't a good sign, she must have an injury in her mouth too. Along with the injuries on the neck.
Don't worry about wiping her face off yet, let her get relaxed, & settled before wiping her face. Don't want to stress her out any then you have too.
+1Don’t use peroxide any more. Saline, chlorhexidene (Hibiclens plus water,) Vetericyn, and plain Neosporin are very good for wound care.
