I am on day 21 and a couple of my eggs have been wiggling for like 18 hours... and now for like 4 hours I have heard one of them making small chirping noises.... how long will they wiggle and chirp before breaking a hole in the shell? I can't stand the wait

Be sure it's humid enough in your incubator so it's easy enough for them to break thru shell. Also, be sure they have plenty of oxygen coming in while they are doing their cardiovascular pipping workouts

I have the humidity at 65%.. good enough? I have had it around 30 to 35 for most of the time, and jumpred it up for the lockdown.

Also, its an LG bator and I have the plugs open to allow circulation.. good enough?

FOREVER!!! It never ends!!!! Seriously, it can be a day or more = FOREVER!!!

Well I am 18 hours in so hopefully it isn't much more then 1 day because I am getting close to that!

I hope they hatch instead of the alternative.... but I am curious in hours how long the typical hatch wiggles and chirps before piping is?

Ok, I'm trying to think. I think about 18-24 hours. It varies, though.

My last eggs really didn't wiggle and peep much at all. They just pipped and then they hatched about 10 minutes later.

I sort of miss the wiggling and peeping stage, though, when they do that, but it is certainly less nerve racking.
