In the Brooder

I'm desperate for any type of help. I have searched and searched but cant seem to figure out what exactly is going on. 2 days ago I went to my local farm store and purchased 6 chicks that were about 3 days old already. I purchased a variety of hens. There is one chick that has some type of foot/leg deformity in both legs. I have narrowed down that is was most likely for a riboflavin deficiency so as of this morning I did a mix of Rooster Booster Multi Vitamin and Electrolyte solution in thier water. I have not separated the hens because the one with the deformity is one bossy little babe already and seems to be in no pain, eating and drinking fine along with getting around the brooder just fine. I tried to do a hobble and chick sandals to straighten out the legs. She still walked on the tops of her feet even with the sandals on. I tried various versions of the sandals.. vet wrap with cardboard, vetrap with no cardboard, band aids. She wiggled out of all then within a half hour. I left her for the night because I felt like I was over stressing both her and I. She walks on the tops of her feet. I have attached a picture of her. How do I proceed.. do I just put the hobble on and worry about the toes later? Do I see if the booster helps with the vitamin deficiency and not do any type of cast? I'm not worried about having a deformed chick since I have all hens, no breeding is going to happen.. more worried about her quality of life such as roosting and free ranging.

Are the legs splayed too or is it just the toes?
Try taping the toes and giving the B2(Riboflavin). The foot curling under and walking on top of the toes could be a genetic deformity or due to improper incubation as well so it may not be fixable. Yes, you want to try to fix everything you can soon, the older they get the less likely you can fix anything.

I'm having a hard time trying to decide if the legs are splayed or if it's because the toes are so curled. She seems to stand up at the feeder and waterer just like the other chicks except she is on the tops of her foot. She also doesnt have a wide stance either. I'm almost at the point were I think it's some type of joint deformity. I have given the Rooster Booster which has Vitamins and the b12 in it. Should I still tape toes even though when I tape them in the correct way she still walks on the tops?

Thank you for your help! Much appreciated! I went back to the drawing board and looked back through all my pictures. Then went to your links and took notes. I realized I was giving the hobble too much give in the middle. Once I figured that out I was able to get the corrective shoes on correctly that doesnt allow her the ability to fold the foot over. I do have two more questions.. most sites say to check the sandal and hobble after 48 hours but that was for chicks that got equipped with the sandal and hobble within 3 days of hatch. This chick was almost a week after hatch before I figured it out. Still check in 48 hours or should I wait longer? I checked her shoes this morning.. they are not wet or soiled and still in the correct position. Question 2.. I attached a pic.. I wasnt able to get that one foot all the way flat it's kind if sideways.. do I leave it and try to recorrect it later? I'm afraid of not being able to get the hobble and sandal back on correctly.

What a cute chick!
I would check after 48hrs.

You may not be able to get the feet completely flat, but the earlier in life you can work on correcting it, the better. The bones start setting and then there's not a lot that can be done.

Okay.. I'm back for some more advice. I unfortunately dont have any pictures but I did take the wrap and corrective shoe off (2 days after first placing them on). The splay doesnt seem has wide as before but compared to other chicks she does have a wider stance then the others. Do I keep the hobble on still? I did bring it a smig closer together but not too much because with the hobble where it needs to be for a fully corrected stance plus the sandals on.. she couldnt move around the brooder. Just laid there so I loosened then a bit for comfort for her.
The corrective sandal made it so when I took them off she was walking on the sides which is better than before but by not alot. I put the sandal I made back on also. Does even that small of a fix in 48 hours mean I can continue to fix them? I didnt know if because I was late to getting the correct placement on if it would take longer. She hatched one week ago today.
