Well at lease that is what they look like to me!

I think I have 5 roo's in the 1st pic and in the 2nd pic, 1 little roo. I am absolutely CLUELESS.
Do any female sebrights get combs/wattles? I have NO idea what their ages are either. Any guesses?

http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Sebr/BRKSebrights.html Look at the difference between the male and female. First picture does indeed look like five males and two females. Have they been laying? That will help tell if their age. If not then take a picture of their displayed wing and post it. Depending on how many "short" feathers are left that can help with age guesses too.

You have 5 cockerels in the first pic. Sebright hens do get combs and wattles, they start out black and get a little pink in them as they get older.
The second picture looks like 2 pullets and a cockerel on the right.
I'm not sure on the ages of the ones in the first pic, they look like adults though. The ones in the second pic are probably 6-8 weeks.

No they have not been laying. They are very wild, I am not sure if they are trying to get used to their new home or something... they were roosting in trees before I got them from a flower/ plant nursery.

I will take wing pic's tomorrow.

Thanks alot!

Thanks! So it seems I have 6 cockerels and 5 pullets.

Would I keep 1 cockerel then for 5 pullets? Can I add 2 hens and 1 roo from a different breed (not bantams)?
Oh my gosh, this is so exciting!

I would keep two cockerels with the five hens. This is just incase if you should happen to lose one of them you have a back up. You could add another trio but I would advise you keep them separate. 3 roosters with 8 hens could get a little hectic and some roosters will not get along with another at all. Plus if you ever want to breed then they will be pure breeds if they are kept in different pens.

I suppose I should just calm down and wait a while. The reason I even considered taking on the chickens is because I was told bantams are a little brighter and can climb/ fly into tree's should predators approach.

I dont know, I might convince hubby to get a coop and run and then just let them out for a few hours a day. :-)

Thanks for the advice.
