PLEASE HELP! IM NOT SURE HE WILL MAKE IT.

how is he?
He’s doing better I guess. Again I’m leaving this weekend which is my biggest worry. (Other then making sure he gets through the night) I have told my uncle how to take care of him tho. I’m so happy my uncle is a helpful man. The injured duck isn’t very Mobile. He is drinking tho

Let me say this. Thanks all for ur support. I’m young (I’ll just admit it) and this is awful for me. Sure my moms very sad so don’t get her wrong but she has always thought that humans come first. Well my ducks are my babies.

Thanks so much to everyone!!

i understand, my mom is the same way!

Hope he heals well.
Were you able to fix whatever was breached in your run to allow a predator to get to your ducks?
Yes well the dumb ducks have been sleeping by the edge of the pen so I bet that didn’t help. Also we are going to start playing an outdoor radio all night so it sounds like we’re talking.

Two words: electric wire. ;) We put that around the run at about 3" up and about 8". My dogs touched it once (accidentally) and won't go near it now.
I don't know if a radio will work long term though. It might be a temporary fix, but predators are pretty smart when it comes to food sources.

We move the pen around for fresh grass so I’m not sure if that could work. Also we have kids ranging from 3-12 running around constantly. Plus my clumsy self would touch it. Thanks so much for the advice tho. I’ll take anyone help at this time

Well, it only takes once to learn not to touch it. :gig
But, seriously - it seems that ducks and chickens like to sit at the edge of runs. So maybe another solution would be to add hardware cloth around the bottom about a foot or two up the side which would still allow you to move the run. This would not allow a predator to grab anything. You can also have an apron around the perimeter - many have used such a set up for their chicken tractors.
You could also try a 1x2 welded wire instead of hw cloth. It is less costly per foot.
