My female bronze turkey who is only about 4 months old has a HUGE impacted crop. I have no idea to help her. I don't want her to die a slow painful death. She's a pet and I have no intention of killing her. I just need help. I don't know what to do and I'm freaking out at 2 in the morning because I just don't know where else to turn. Someone please help. I don't know of any vets in my area that look at farm animals except for one and I don't think he deals with turkeys. Just large animals. Someone out there has to know something. I'm just clueless. I've never had this happen with any of my chickens or turkeys before and she is practically a brand new member of my family.

This is her. It's actually grown more since then and this was taken the 4th of July. I'm so upset I can't help but cry.

A large animal vet is better than none at all. You can post on the "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread more experienced people monitor that site. You can also put "Impacted crop" in the search box and several threads should pop up. I assume treatment for a turkey is the same as for chickens. Hope you get help for her.

Try a forum search on 'Impacted Crop'. Several threads are listed - some with successful resolutions. Good luck at resolving this problem.
