Please help me and my broody

So just like every chicken owner out there with a broody hen, you get worried when hatch day is coming. I was bring in the eggs to candel them on day 18 and I saw a little lice crawling on the egg. My heart sunk cause hatch day is right around the corner. I have read to dust her in DE and wood ash. I would like to stay as natural and work as quick as possible. Please give me some help. What will be safe around chicks

I'd change the bedding and put DE (food grade) in the nest box. I would dust the hen as well. Good luck with your hatch. Keep me posted if you have time

I totally vacuumed out her nest box, put some oil down and put new bedding down. I dusted her with white ashes and DE so I am hoping it works. Hatch day is right around the corner
