like i told you. Take a larger bucket.drill a hole a bit smaller than a cork you have in it. Put in in a cake pan bigger than the bucket itself (but atleast an inch all the way around) place the bucket in the hole when drilling the whole make sure the lid of the bucket is ONTOP so your drilling torward the bottom of the bucket abouta half of an inch up (hole is not higher than pan level) fill bucket with cork in hole put the lid on top (ALL the way sealed) take cork out. Water should fill pan but not overflow.

Or you could drill a hole about a 3/4" from the top. Fill the bucket with water, put the lid on, carry it to where you want it. Place hog pan, turn bucket upside down in hog pan and watch the girlz fawn all over you for being so smart.

I like my method because I would never be able to keep track of a cork and I do not have water available in the run. If I did, I would drill the hole in the bottom and use the handle to hang the bucket with the pan attached to the bottom.

Easy peasy.

I was thinking attach the cork to the handle at the right length

Unfortunately, if I did that my chickens would eat it within minutes.

The best way is using PVC and a bucket that connect down to a level line.

I like the watering cups best but nipples are good too.
